Cheeseburger Pasta

Cheeseburger Pasta is a hearty and comforting meal that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger with tender pasta in a rich, cheesy tomato-based sauce. Made with seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese, this quick and satisfying dish is perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4–5 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 10 oz pasta (elbow macaroni, penne, or rotini)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  6. Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  7. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and mix until well combined.
  9. Stir in the cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  10. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Short pasta shapes like macaroni or rotini hold the sauce best.
  • Add cooked bacon for a bacon cheeseburger version.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, stir in a small splash of milk or broth.
