  • Total Time: 12 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1 tea bag (black tea or herbal tea)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
  2. Add dried lavender and tea bag, and steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Strain into a mug, removing lavender and tea bag.
  4. Stir in honey or sugar while warm.
  5. Heat milk in a saucepan until hot but not boiling.
  6. Froth the milk using a frother, whisk, or jar method.
  7. Pour the warm milk over the tea.
  8. Add vanilla extract if desired and stir gently.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use culinary-grade lavender only.
  • Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness.
  • Oat milk creates a creamier texture.
  • Can be served iced by cooling the tea first.
  • Store brewed tea (without milk) for up to 2 days.
